Detagoh has just signed on to record their latest EP at Hinge Studios with Craig Bauer! He's a Grammy nominated mixer and engineer who has worked with everyone from Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco to some fantastic Jazz and Gospel acts throughout the world. We're gearing up to begin the recording process and hope to have the album in your hands by the end of the year! We'll keep you posted on all of our updates, but lets just say - we're REALLY excited about this opportunity!
We had a real nice time playing with Rusted Root at House of Blues Chicago! It was one of the better shows we've ever played, and we only have the crowd to thank. Everyone at the show gave us the energy we needed to step out there melt some faces! We look forward to playing more high-profile shows as well as touring this winter / spring - and possibly even returning to the studio to record our next album!
Thanks to all of our new friends in Nashville and Memphis for coming out to experience Detagoh on our first trip down south! It was an incredible trip where we met some great musicians and made some really good contacts. We're already looking forward to our next trip.
Thanks for all your support, we hope to see you some time soon!
“Detagoh is a breath of fresh air in a very polluted music universe. In a landscape that too often contains pre-packaged bands and carbon copies of sound, this band carves its own niche into the musical landscape with its original sound and well-crafted songs.”
“Each of these songs can be used as a counterpoint to the argument that there is not good, new music out there; that no one under 40 knows how to craft a piece of art in the music genre anymore.”
“The universe deserves more Detagoh.”

“What amazes us [about Detagoh] is that two instruments as dissimilar as the violin and harmonica
can coexist in the same band without getting in each other's way.”

“Fly To June voted one of the top 5 CDs of 2005. Detagoh's Fly to June is quite an impressive journey
through the jam/rock genre. Unbelievable cuts like City Lights and Fall Into Me make this debut CD
an amazing piece of independent music no one should miss!”

"Detagoh Pronounced Day-Tah-Go combines fun, excitement, energy and very catchy tunes to form a hugely infective sound. With a combination of violin, harmonica, electric guitar, a solid rhythm section and powerful vocals. Detagoh has created a unique sound on the Chicago music scene that puts them in line to be the predecessor to Umphrey's McGee's "crossover jamband" appeal. With original music that has a pop acoustic sound, Detagoh has become one of Chicago's most sought after bands, like your mom!
